Pool Attendant

Description:

Candidates will need to have excellent customer service skills and be highly responsible. A skilled pool attendant should be friendly and able to assist swimmers in danger when necessary. They should also feel comfortable speaking with residents about following pool rules. CPR training is required and will be provided by management.  

Responsibilities:

  • Setting up umbrellas, lounge chairs, and other pool furniture

  • Ensuring that the swimming pool, furniture, and facilities are clean

  • Welcoming guests and ensuring their safety and comfort

  • Maintain a sign in sheet and check ID’s as necessary to ensure attendees are residents of DeLaet’s Landing

  • Clearing used towels, glasses, and trash

  • Enforcing safety protocols as set out by the Owner

  • Monitoring the activity of guests and ensuring their safety

  • Reporting any damages or incidents to the supervisor

  • Keep logs and comply with department of health mandates

  • Managing the swimming pool cleaning schedule and performing daily chemical test and inspections

  • Other responsibilities at owners discretion

 

Pool Season runs from Memorial Day (5/26/25) through Labor Day (9/1/25)

Part time hours 7 days a week with 2 shifts to be assigned

Shifts run from 10am-3pm and 3pm-8pm

Must be willing to work holidays and weekends

Must attend CPR certification class at the property, class expense will be paid for by management

$20 per hour

Maintenance Position

Weekend Porter (Weekends / Part Time)

​

Position Description

Weekend Porter / Maintenance Support – position requires weekend availability for general maintenance support including removal of tenant trash and recycling.  The Apartments at DeLaet’s Landing, located in the City of Rensselaer is a 10+ acre apartment community that includes (2) 4 story buildings as well as indoor and outdoor amenities.  The primary focus of the Weekend Porter position is to collect and remove tenant trash and recycling items from the buildings as well as maintain general cleanliness of the amenity areas and common spaces located throughout the property.  (Flexible hours on Saturday and/or Sunday are available)

Responsibilities

  • Maintains cleanliness of lobbies and other common areas

  • Trash Removal - operation of multiple trash compactor(s) and associated tools and equipment for removing all trash from (2) separate buildings twice per day (am & pm)

  • Recycling Removal – 90 gallon recycling containers are located on each floor of the two buildings and need to be brought down the elevators, rolled outside and emptied into dumpsters at both buildings twice per day (am & pm)

  • Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming

  • Emptying common area trash cans

  • Spot clean restrooms as needed

  • Restocking restroom supplies as needed

  • Inspect outdoor amenity areas, sidewalks and parking lot areas for litter and maintenance issues that require attention during the weekend hours

Required skills, abilities and requirements

  • Responsible, reliable, and trustworthy

  • Conscientious, especially in your attitude to safety security and tenant satisfaction

  • Lifting and carrying items up to 50lbs

  • Prepared to spend multiple hours per shift walking and conducting physical activities

  • To perform this role, employees must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including steel or composite-toe safety shoes, as the work area involves heavy machinery and potential for falling objects

5-8 hours per week, $20-$26 per hour​
